CastSync is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

• Account information: email address and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Audition profile: name, phone, address, grade, technique classes, injuries, absences, and weekly availability — submitted voluntarily as part of the audition process.
• Usage data: server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and diagnostics.

2. How We Use It

• To provide the CastSync service — storing your submissions and showing them to the directors of organizations you auditioned for.
• To send you confirmation emails when you submit or update an audition form.
• To send you casting results if a director publishes them and uses the email feature.
• We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. Sessions are encrypted. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

4. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and submissions from our systems.

5. Cookies

CastSync uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Children

CastSync is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data without parental consent, contact us and we will remove it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email.
